Behaviour of Rodents
Rodents tend to be difficult to control because their instinct is to be wary of typical rodent control measures such as bait or traps.
Rats are a serious pest in homes and businesses as the can carry and transmit disease and contaminate the area.
Mice also will contaminate foodstuff and a pair of mice can breed two hundred offspring in just four months.

Brown Rats burrow underground or into soft material; loose soil, under s and straw sheds. They damage woodwork, pipes, electric cables, stored food and packaging by their gnawing. They spread many diseases including food poisoning. They contaminate more food than they consume.

Black rats are smaller in size and is usually mainly confined to port areas and ships.

The House Mouse (Mus domesticus)
House mice are active all year round, invading your home or business at any time. Mice are usually detected from their droppings as well as damage to stored food and packaging . Mice have a compulsive need to gnaw; electric cables, water and gas pipes, packaging and woodwork can all be seriously damaged. They climb well and can squeeze through very small gaps.
